Dan York has more than 25 years of experience in researching, analyzing and implementing energy efficiency policies and programs. He is widely recognized for his work tracking and analyzing trends and emerging issues in utility-sector energy efficiency programs. All his educational and professional experiences have focused on energy efficiency and conservation as the foundations for a sustainable economy. He joined ACEEE in 2001. Prior to joining ACEEE, Dan was a senior project manager at the Energy Center of Wisconsin (now Seventhwave). He has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. His M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are both in land resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an emphasis in energy analysis and policy. An early highlight of his career was a year of energy policy research in Norway as a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Oslo's Centre for Development and the Environment.
